CHAPLAIN AT THE BEAVER COUNTY JAIL:

 

Under the direction of our Chaplain there is worship services, bible study,  bible correspondence courses and numerous other ministries conducted by more than 100 volunteers from churches, colleges and outreaches throughout Beaver County. The Chaplain ministers to staff as well as both men and women inmates.

CHAPLAIN FOR BEAVER COUNTY JUVENILE DETENTION HOME (Recently moved to Stubenville, OH):

 

Our Chaplain visits and counsels with both detention and sheltered now housed in Stubenville, Ohio. 


CHAPLAIN AT FRIENDSHIP RIDGE NURSING HOME: 

   The Chaplain does visitation with ministering to residents daily.  Tuesday and Thursday Bible Study/Prayer Meeting are held weekly.  Communion and special prayer are administered upon request from family or resident,  also Chaplain is on call for any emergency. Under our Chaplains direction, weekly Sunday afternoon worship services at 2:30PM are provided by local pastors and volunteers.  Beaver County Churches are scheduled for that worship service on a rotating basis.  The families that visit on Sundays are encouraged, if possible, to bring their relative to this worship service where they may meet the Chaplain.   email: apeters@friendshipridge.org


CHAPLAIN AT BEHAVIOR HEALTH CLINIC AT THE MEDICAL CENTER:

 

This is a spiritual sharing time each Saturday afternoon at 1:00PM

 


CHAPLAIN FOR LEISURE MINISTRY AT RACCOON CREEK STATE PARK

 

Worship services are held each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day in the amphitheater for camping families.

CHAPLAIN AT BEAVER COUNTY COMMISSIONER'S MEETINGS:

 

Opening prayer on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month at 10:00 a.m. sharp by Christians United Chaplains or other local pastors.

EASTER SUNRISE SERVICES:

 

Sunrise services are held at 7:00 a.m. at Raccoon Creek State Park (Wildflower Reserve B129). The ministry is shared by Raccoon Presbyterian Church.  

MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. PRE-HOLIDAY SERVICE:

 

In honor of Dr. King this service is held annually on the Friday before the Martin Luther King designated holiday at noon at the Park Presbyterian Church, Beaver (across from the courthouse). Special speakers and music are provided.

SUMMER EVENING CONCERTS IN THE PARK:

 

Two concerts are held yearly (July and August) at Irving Park and Quay Square in Beaver

By local pastors printed in the Beaver and Allegheny Times newspapers on the faith page and also posted on this website.

PUBLISH A YEARBOOK AND CHURCH DIRECTORY:

 

Each February containing reports from all CUBC Commissions and a listing of all churches and pastors in Beaver County.

NEWSLETTER:

 

"Contact" is published 6 times a year. This newsletter highlights activities of Christians United and contains invitations to our assembly Dinner Meetings held 3 time a year.

EXECUTIVE SECRETARY:

 

Our Executive Secretary schedules pastors for weekly messages "From The Pulpit" for the Beaver and Allegheny Times newspapers each week, and works with the Ministry and Outreach Commission on scheduling for the Friendship Ridge worship services. Duties include sending reminder cards or e-mails as those occasions draw near, sending weekly messages to the Times and reminder cards and e-mails for all Commission meetings, Board Director meetings and reminding Chaplains or Pastors to open the Beaver County Commissioner's meetings with prayer. The secretary also types and prepares Board and Dinner meeting agendas and snds copies of Recording Secretary minuts to Board members. Six months of the year: types, prepares, folds, addresses and sorts more than 400 "Contact" newsletters. Phone reservations for the dinner meetings are compiled by the secretary and coordinated with the hot church. Seasonally the secretary prepares Raccoon Creek Leisure Ministry worship bulletins, Easter Sunrise bulletins and prepares more than 100 Christmas letters to potential donors. In addition to all that our secretary answers the phone, greets visitors to the office, answers all correspondence and acknowledges gifts with receipts, thanks and appreciation. There are many other duties and responsibilities that are taken care of by our Executive Secretary that would fill a book.
